There is purpose in all circumstances. It can be illusive though. Each person has a purpose for their life as well. Sometimes finding what that is takes a long time. There are time though that it is laid at your doorstep.
Sometimes we must be still and listen. In the quiet we will learn the plans that are laid out for us. Other times the plans are like a billboard or flashing lights, saying “This is your plan! Follow it!”. Most of us prefer the billboard; I know I do. There are still times we do not know the plans God has for us or how he will use our circumstances towards that plan.
We may not currently know the purpose of my husbands pain, but rest assured there is one. We believe it & take comfort in that fact. The verse below is the verse I have adopted for the past few weeks as “my verse”. God has a plan for me, a purpose!
We may or may not ever know the purpose of my husbands pain/illness and we accept that. It may help someone else much further away in either distance or time. Maybe hearing our story, our struggles and how we live day to day life with these issues will help or encourage someone else. We trust God in the journey though!
I’ve been reminded in so many ways over the past two weeks that I have a purpose. I walked in the store & the display was my verse! It was a perfect reminder!
We all need reminders. I ask my kids to remind me of things constantly. Our minds get so busy with day to day life that we need help remembering what we need to do, get at the store, send to school or to pick our kids up (that last one may or not be an exaggeration). Reminders that God has a plan for me have been abundant! That I am to be grateful for the journey is clear to me!
Be grateful and appreciative in all circumstances and for everything.
Do you know your purpose? Are you grateful? How has your journey been? Have you been reminded of the plans God has for you?
Lisa, you always put things in perspective and offer such encouragement! It is not ours to understand, but to trust in Him who always does what is best for us and that will bring Him glory and honor. I am continuing to pray for you and your family and for His best! Thank you for sharing truth!
Sue
Thank you Sue! We appreciate the prayer. Your comments are always so kind & encouraging.
Love your reminders. We all have purpose 🙂
Thank you!
Time and time again I ran from my purpose in life because I didn’t think it was ‘good enough’. I trust that the things that are happening to me are exactly what was meant to be.
Dyana, I think that happens a lot. Whether it be because it’s “not good enough” or they try to ignore it or just try to choose what they want. I appreciate your outlook!
Thank you for sharing such a powerful idea. I am currently in the battle of figuring out my purpose. I have jumped form job to job and hobby to hobby. But now, I finally feel like I am coming into myself, with God’s help of course.
Thank you Danielle for your comment. I’m right there with you! When we are fulfilling our purpose that God has for us life is such a blessing.
You may not see the changes this hard journey has made in you, but others see it! God is blessing you and your family! You amaze me with all you do. Your strength is an inspiration to many and God is honored by your grateful heart.
