The Appreciation Project: 30-Day Gratitude Challenge
Everyone wants to feel appreciation from others. It builds up their self-confidence and fills up their love bank. A love bank is essentially the notion that everyone has a love account within themselves. It is filled or drained by what others do or say or don’t do or say. Those things equate to deposits and withdrawals. The goal being to have these accounts filled and overflowing with love. A persons love bank is easily drained with struggles of life, unappreciative people and contagious negative attitudes.
Do you withdraw more than you deposit? That leads to bankruptcy of the heart!
The appreciation project is a 6-week challenge to foster a spirit of appreciation. Do you want to be more appreciative? Would you like to have more of an attitude of gratitude? How about a thankful heart? I know I do! The blessings a thankful heart and grateful attitude will bestow upon my household will be immeasurable. A grateful person has a positive effect on people they encounter as well. Let’s strive to make more deposits than withdrawals.
In everything give thanks… 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Negativity is all around us. It is on television programs, the news including commercials we see, as well as in magazines and social media. Negativity infects us. It affects not only in how we respond to others but deep into our hearts. Eventually we begin to seek it out. Putting a limit on the negativity that we allow into our lives is a good start to a grateful attitude. Intentionally seek out positive movies, books, etc. Look for the positive in all situations. Find something good in every person you know.
A negative spirit will suffocate a thankful heart!
Each week there will be ideas and simple activities that are designed to aid us in this journey. These will aid in the goal to change our attitude and ultimately our heart to be more appreciative and thankful. Don’t forget to download your guide to the 30-Day Challenge. Won’t you join me in this appreciation project?
